Week-End Trends: Kissing New Year’s goodbye
Email activity and promotional trends during the past week:
The RetailEmail Index rose 12% to 156 during the week ending Jan. 26, and is up 9% from where it was four weeks ago.

*The RetailEmail Index is a general measure of the email volume generated by the top 100 online retailers.
Last week, 84% of the retailers in the RetailEmail Index send out at least one email, up from 81% the week prior, and up from 82% during the 4-weeks-ago period

Valentine's Day: There were 23 references to Valentine's Day last week, up from 10 references the week before.
New Year's: There were 4 emails referencing the New Year’s last week, down from 9 the week prior. There weren’t any New Year’s references after Monday, so that may be the end of the New Year’s season.
