AM Inbox: Driving subscribers to stores

>>Buttons Vs. Links: Vote today! The EEC wants to know if you think primary calls-to-action perform better as links or buttons. Please take a few seconds to visit the EEC homepage and take our one-question survey. I’ll let you know next week which way the community is leaning.

RetailEmail.Blogspot monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 of the top online retailers. Here are highlights from our inbox this morning:

Bloomingdale’s, 6/28 — In Stores Only: Extra 15% Off With This Email
Looking to drive subscribers to its stores, Bloomingdale’s sent them this in-store-only bar-coded coupon. If you have stores, you should definitely be leveraging your email campaigns to drive traffic to your stores, while also respecting that your subscribers may prefer to shop online or catalog only. But it should be a goal of yours to expose shoppers to all your channels so they’re fully aware of all their choices. And driving customers to stores with email coupons is a particularly good strategy when holidays are upon us and express shipping options have expired or are about to expire.
