I’ll call them Northern Toolisms, and they’re very effective at communicating their brand position in an entertaining fashion.

Ross-Simons, 6/27 — Last Day to Save 25%.
Starting with a June 18 email, Ross-Simons has added a “View on mobile device” link at the top of its emails. Ross-Simons joins a small group of major retailers, which includes Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Sam’s Club, that have added this to their emails.
