Sports Authority is the only major retailer I’ve seen use a calendar to show subscribers when various shipping options are on and off the table. They also used this device in a Dec. 18 email regarding holiday shipping (see Dec. 19 AM Inbox). For folks that are always looking a calendar or day planner, this way of communicating the cutoff periods may be more effective at a glance.

This is another good example of recruiting your subscribers (and your customers at large). Part of the prize for this pet talent contest, Petco Stars, is that your pet is featured in a Petco ad. So the contest is really a great front for a model search.
