Clearly Coldwater Creek wasn’t thrilled with their May 31 email either (see June 1 AM Inbox), so they gave it another go and achieved much better results. Unlike their first attempt at announcing the redesign of their website, the website announcement and the $25 off offer are integrated and look like one cohesive message. Also, using a leaderboard banner to announce the redesign ensure that message will appear completely in preview panes. With preview panes becoming the norm in webmail clients, we should see more leaderboard-type treatments in the months ahead.

Northern Tool had some rendering problems with this email. Even worse, the “Having trouble viewing this email? Click here” link sent you to an unknown URL so there was no way to view the email online.
