Week-End Trends: Fireworks on the horizon

Email activity and promotional trends during the past week:

The RetailEmail Index rose 5% to 170 during the week ending June 15, and is up 9% from where it was four weeks ago.


*The RetailEmail Index is a general measure of the email volume generated by 100 of the top online retailers.

Last week, 86% of the retailers in the RetailEmail Index send out at least one email, up from 85% the week prior, and up from 84% during the 4-weeks-ago period.



Father’s Day: The retailers in the RetailEmail Index sent 57 emails referencing Father’s Day last week, down from 61 the week prior.

4th of July: There were 4 emails referencing the 4th of July last week, up from 1 the week before.

Back to school: Target gave us our first back-to-school reference last week.
