Sears, 11/14 — Special holiday savings hours + sweepstakes
Sears has become the king of midnight madness offers (explore tag: Midnight Deals) and it looks like they’re going to bring the urgency of limited time offers to their holiday email marketing with a special email series. But the program is vaguely described. Sears doesn’t tell subscribers how many emails to expect, when to expect them or when they will stop. More clarity would probably encourage more people to sign up.
Old Navy, 11/14 — Get free shipping and free returns at Piperlime.
I’m still irritated that Gap Inc. is still sending Piperlime emails to Old Navy, Banana Republic and Gap subscribers, but this email was really great. The creative is fresh, seasonal and well executed. And it also offers advice on how to use the product.

Drs. Foster & Smith, 11/14 — Happy Thanksgiving
I have to assume that Drs. Foster & Smith deployed this email a week earlier than they intended. This is definitely the kind of holiday greetings email that you send on the day of—not a week before.

Here’s an oopsy that I’ve never seen before: The navigation bar is squished, like there was an unintentional height limit place upon the image. Very weird.
