In this email, Target does a solid job of laying out the options that last-minute shoppers have: express shipping, e-gift cards, extended store hours, and gift cards in stores.
Omaha Steaks, 12/20 — Send $50 in gift cards and receive a $10 E-Gift Card
Gift cards make great incentive offers—spend $100 and get a $10 gift card. But this is the first time that I’ve seen a retailer offer a gift card as an incentive for buying a gift card. Perhaps by putting an e-gift card in the sender’s hands Omaha Steaks thinks they’ll turn about and spend it now when they can take advantage of last-minute deals.
