AM Inbox: First references to St. Patrick’s and Easter
>>Retail Email Unsubscribe Benchmark Study released. Read the executive summary.
RetailEmail.Blogspot monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 top online retailers. Here are highlights from our inbox this morning:
Lillian Vernon, 1/24 — Hearts & Clovers & Bunnies, Oh My! Save 20%
Lillian Vernon gives us our first references to St. Patrick’s and Easter. For insights and ideas leading as those holidays approach, check out last year’s St. Patrick’s Day Season Finale and Easter Season Finale.

Home Depot, 1/24 — New Years Resolutions For Your Home
With January drawing to a close, this will probably be one of the last New Year’s emails. This email does a few things well: (1) it optimized for preview panes, with the headline up top and the to-do list functioning as a mini table of contents; (2) It gives you a few entry points into each item; (3) it taps the green trend, which I’ve harped on several times; (4) it includes video, giving people another way to interact with Home Depot; and (5) it includes a project, which gives context to Home Depot’s products and establishes them as an expert and a helpful advice-giver.
