After saying in yesterday’s AM Inbox how retailers did a poor job of linking their emails to blog content, here’s Neiman Marcus linking to an interview with Milly designer Michelle Smith on their NM Insite blog. Good to see more retailers catching on. I also really like the treatment on this image, which makes the dress really pop, and of the quote. I also like how the model is looking toward the copy. Heatmapping exercises show that readers react to models’ eyes and tend to look where they are looking, so it’s smart of have the models looking in the direction of copy and calls-to-action.
