Email activity and promotional trends during the past week:

The RetailEmail Index fell 1% to 191 during the week ending March 14, and is down 5% from where it was four weeks ago. The Index score indicates that on average the top 100 online retailers each sent about 1.9 promotional emails last week.

RetailEmail Seasonality Meter: Easter is leading the way again this week but Easter references are considerably less frequent than last year with only a week to go before Easter. This past week we had our first references to Mother’s Day (May 11) and Father’s Day (June 15). To help plan your campaigns for these holidays, check out the Mother’s Day Season Finale and Father’s Day Season Finale from last year.
