Season Finale: Labor Day 2008

A look back on seasonal trends, email activity and standout B2C marketing:

Start to finish: The first reference to Labor Day was on Aug. 11 by Sam’s Club. The final reference was on Sept. 9 by Furniture.com.

The distribution curve: The biggest day for Labor Day emails was Labor Day itself, Sept. 1, followed by Friday, Aug. 29. Retailers sent the majority of their Labor Day-themed emails after Aug. 28.

Most interesting email: This Labor Day season email messaging was very run of the mill, with nothing really jumping out at me in the inbox.
