AM Inbox: Growing list of retailers asking for preference updates

The Retail Email Blog monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 top online retailers. Here are highlights from my inbox this morning:

Sam’s Club, 11/5 — Your personalized Club Insider is coming
Retailers continue to wisely press subscribers to indicate or update their preferences ahead of their highest sales weeks. B&H Photo Video, Gap, Hallmark, Newegg and Overstock have all asked subscribers to update their preferences or moved their preference center link to the top of their emails. This is great to see from Sam’s Club in particular, since they typically take a “kitchen sink” approach to their emails. Hopefully now more of their emails will have some focus.
