Week-End Trends: Email volume jumps 11% week-over-week
Email activity and promotional trends during the past week:
The Retail Email Index rose 11% to a new year-to-date high of 272 during the week ending Nov. 21, 2008, and is up 19% from where it was four weeks ago. The Index score indicates that the top 100 online retailers sent more than 2.7 promotional emails each on average last week.

The Retail Email Participation Rate: Monday was the most popular day to send retail emails last week. It’s very likely that Monday will be the most popular day of the week to send emails until the end of the year.

The Retail Email Seasonality Meter: Christmas references remain at over 50%. Thanksgiving and Black Friday references to peak next week.
