Orvis, 12/23 — The perfect last-minute gift - order by 10pm 12/24 for same-day delivery.
Just like last year, it appears that two days before Christmas will be the height of e-gift card promotions. Retailers use a range of messaging to promote their e-gift cards, with this email from Orvis being one of the more detailed. Not only does it list the benefits of sending an e-gift card, but it lists the steps required to do so. That allows those who have never sent one before to see all that’s involved. Orvis also includes an e-gift card incentive in the form of an offer for buy one, get one half off for their fly-fishing school.
Oriental Trading, 12/23 — The best last minute gift - eGift Cards are fast & easy
Oriental Trading also includes a short set of instructions for sending an e-gift card. Theirs includes being able to add a personal message and a time range for delivery. Some retailers are able to deliver e-gift cards “instantly” while others require 24 hours or more, so it’s a good idea to tell subscribers how long it takes you.
