Sportsman’s Guide, 7/24 — Your Free Shipping Coupon Expires Today! Top Sellers from The Guide
The Sportsman’s Guide has redesigned their email template, with most of the improvements coming in the header and footer areas. For years, they’ve had the simplest template among the retailers I track, so the updates add some much needed polish. They created a new header that really anchors the email and it includes links to their pages on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The Sportsman’s Guide has also added a navigation bar, which are used by nearly every major retailer. Their product grid is only slightly different, with the product name now positioned over the product image. But the footer contains big changes, with them adding a recovery module and using tables with background colors to give the footer more structure, which makes it easier to find things.
Here’s the new design (left) and the previous design from a July 22 email:
Backcountry.com, 7/24 — Free Shipping on All Kayak or Stand-Up Paddle Boards Now
The color wheel-inspired dial-a-boat graphic in this email is very eye-catching and sets up the dial image on the landing page.
