AM Inbox: And the ribbon goes to...

The Retail Email Blog monitors the email marketing campaigns of more than 100 top online retailers. Here are highlights from my inbox this morning:

Trying to appeal to mothers with kids on their way back to school, J. Jill presents some product promotions in the form of a multiple-choice quiz question. It’s fun and different—and presented on a white ribbon like subscribers have won a prize. To amp up the messaging that it’s a one-day sale, J. Jill adds a “Flash Sale” icon next to their logo. That’s a new tactic for them. It was certainly the first thing that caught my eye.
